ABOUT ME

Before retraining as a podiatrist, I enjoyed a successful career as a professional glass blower and studio artist. I established Firefly Glass in the beautiful surroundings of Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire, where I designed and created coloured blown and moulded glass, including paperweights, perfume bottles, bowls, lamp bases, and decorative vases.

My work was exhibited and sold through galleries and specialist craft fairs across the UK, and many items can be found in the US and as far away as Australia. My pieces continue to appear in collectors’ auctions and private collections today. One of my signed studio glass vases was notably included in the estate collection of Sir Frank Williams CBE of the Williams Formula One team.

I also spent a year living and working in Bermuda, demonstrating my glass blowing skills to the passengers off the cruise ships.  I returned to the UK to begin a new chapter in healthcare and retrain in podiatry.

Today, I bring the same care, precision, and attention to detail from my years as an artisan into my podiatry practice, offering friendly, professional treatment tailored to each patient.

Outside of work, my wife and I love to travel and experience different cultures. We enjoy meeting people from all walks of life and believe these experiences help shape our open, compassionate, and personal approach to both life and patient care.

MY VALUES

For me, care goes beyond treatment. I believe everyone deserves access to high-quality foot care delivered with compassion, dignity, and respect. My approach is always patient-centred, taking the time to understand each individual’s needs and provide thoughtful, tailored treatment in a friendly and supportive environment.

Podiatry is more than just a profession to me — it is a commitment to helping people remain mobile, comfortable, and independent in their everyday lives.

Supporting the wider community is also very important to both me and my wife. I volunteer foot care services through Forgotten Feet, a charity providing podiatry care to people experiencing homelessness and vulnerability across the UK. Through this work, I support clinics at the Camrose Centre in Basingstoke, helping those who may otherwise struggle to access essential foot care.

My wife, who is a qualified Foot Health Professional, also volunteers at the same centre, supporting vulnerably housed women with compassionate and practical foot care.

Together, we strongly believe that everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, dignity, and respect, regardless of their circumstances.

Through both my clinical work and community volunteering, I aim to provide care that is professional, personal, and genuinely supportive.
